<Aaron Jones>   Like most journeys, yours didn't roll out exactly as planned but that's the real fun of a "journey" in the first place, to experience some of the unexpected along with the many things you wanted to do in the first place. You will treasure the people and places for a lifetime...good to make such travels when you're young and vigorous and footloose. Those few years seem to slip by way too fast. Not to say middle age and the senior life are all that bad...just different, with more responsibility (or we like to think) than those early years before careers and families compete for the finances and vacation days. So congratulations on a great trip and thanks for taking us all along! Blessings on your heads,

Aaron Jones

<jerry>   My dream is to do what you have done.  A year on the road is a long time!  How did you two fare during the journey.  Did you miss the comforts of home...ie showers, a warm bed, hot meals or just your own space.  All of which are considerations if you are planning something similiar.  Great site..good luck.    Jerry

<andy>   A work of genius from start to finish. Thanks for such a great site and the lunatic quest that made it possible. At the risk of reinventing the wheel I am about to start off on a similar voyage into the unknown - and I'm in Brooklyn as we speak.... Spooky....
Anyhow great work and expect a series of emails tapping your vast wealth of knowledge as the journey progresses.
I just love you guys!

<Rhonda>   I really enjoyed visiting your site.  I own a 78 Westphalia and live on the West coast of Canada.  I enjoy getting out in my van when I can.  If you're still into VW vans, you might want to check out the Wet Westies ...it's a friendly VW Westphalia camping club located in the Pacific Northwest.
Cheers,Rhonda

<Stephen>   If you need to get out of town and want to explore, go to Electric City near the Grand Coulee Dam and look for the windmill park.  I stumbled across this during my move out there.  Some guy made windmills out of junk and donated them to the city.  There must be hundreds on a lot enclosed by chain link fence.  Quite a sight, and there's no sense giving up the thrills of the road just because you settled down again.

<Bret from Minnesota>   Anthony and Liz:

Congratulations on successful completion of your adventures on the road.   I was in Seattle once for a gay and lesbian choral convention (a blast, but a little too much drama!) and fell in love with the city.  I hope you find it to be a wonderful new home. Reading this site has been a wonderful vicarious experience for me, I appreciate the witty writing.  Who knew that an offer to share a table at Isle Royale would lead to hours of reading pleasure.  I have grown rather fond of you two, so continue to be good to yourselves and to each other.

Thank you for your adventure.

Bret

(It was just dumb luck that I read your last/latest installment on the same  day that you wrote it...I haven't checked your site since sometime in January.  I'm lucky, I guess!)
